As the Spring Semester of 2024 unfolded, I found myself in a whirlwind of excitement, nerves, and anticipation. With a confirmed spot as an international student at Indian River State College, I embarked on a journey I had once only dreamed of. Hailing from Indonesia, the idea of becoming a college student in the United States was beyond my wildest imaginations. Yet, here I was, ready to seize every opportunity this new chapter would bring.
The realization of my college dream was a testament to perseverance, hard work, and unwavering determination. It was a moment of gratitude, a recognition of the blessings that paved my path to this point. From attending lectures and study sessions, to perfecting my ballet techniques, and don’t forget to crafting engaging content for my audience. It was a schedule filled to the brim, demanding discipline and resilience at every turn.
Despite the inevitable moments of exhaustion and overwhelm, I found solace in the pursuit of my passions. Each day brought new opportunities for growth, both academically and creatively. Whether it was mastering a complex dance sequence or crafting a compelling blog post, every challenge was met with determination and enthusiasm.
Moreover, being an international student added an extra layer of richness to my college experience. Immersed in a vibrant and diverse community, I had the privilege of connecting with individuals from various backgrounds and cultures.
