Reflecting on an Enchanted Journey: Jade Princessa as Alice
I am delighted to take a moment to share with you the incredible experience of our recent day 2 annual Ballet Academy of Indoneisa performance, which took place last few weeks on August 13, 2023, at the prestigious Jakarta Art Building. This magical evening brought to life the whimsical world of “Alice in Wonderland,” starring me, as Alice herself.
A Testament to Dedication
This performance was a testament to the power of dedication, creativity, and the unbreakable bond between a dancer and her mentor. I was juggling with my schedule between commercial shoots, photoshoots and rehearsals. With less than three weeks of intensive rehearsals, directed and choreographed by my extraordinary teacher, Miss. Anindya Krisna, we embarked on an artistic journey that would bring Wonderland to life on stage.
The Transformation of Alice
The role of Alice is one that holds a special place in my heart. Through the masterful guidance of Miss. Anindya Krisna, I had the privilege of exploring Alice’s world – her curiosity, bravery, and the enchanting characters she encounters. In a whirlwind of rehearsals, I found myself transformed into Alice, with every movement and expression reflecting the essence of this beloved character.
A Night to Remember
The Jakarta Art Center Building set the stage for an unforgettable evening that will forever hold a place in my heart. As the lights dimmed and the music swelled, the enchanting tale of “Alice in Wonderland” came to life before our eyes. The dedication and passion of the entire cast, with Miss Anindya Krisna’s choreography and direction, culminated in a performance that transported the audience into a world of magic and wonder.

Miss Anindya Krisna‘s mentorship was instrumental in shaping this production. Her creative vision, guidance, and unwavering support were the driving force behind our ability to bring this intricate ballet performance to life in such a short span of time. It is a true testament to the impact a dedicated mentor can have on a dancer’s journey.
