A Dream Come True: Reflecting on My Victory at the Asian Grand Prix, Jakarta Regional
In the realm of ballet, 2019 marked a turning point in my journey, as I clinched the first-place victory at the Asian Grand Prix, Jakarta Regional Competition. This monumental achievement is a testament to the incredible support I received from my teacher, Miss Anindya Krisna of The Ballet Academy, and the unwavering encouragement from my family. Let me share with you the joyous experience of dancing my heart out and winning the coveted title.
The Performance
The stage was set, and I had the privilege of performing Raymonda, Pizzicato Variation. The routine was a fusion of grace, technique, and passion, reflecting hours of dedicated practice. As the music filled the air, I immersed myself in the art, transcending the boundaries of the stage. The audience’s applause echoed, creating an atmosphere of exhilaration that fueled my every move.
Acknowledging the Divine
In moments of triumph, it’s crucial to recognize the higher power that guides our journey. All glory goes to God, as without His divine grace, this victory would not have been possible. The stage became a sacred space where I expressed gratitude through movement, offering my success as a humble tribute.

Gratitude to Miss Anindya Krisna
Behind every successful dancer stands an exceptional mentor. My teacher, Miss Anindya Krisna, played a pivotal role in shaping my abilities and nurturing my passion for ballet. Her guidance, expertise, and unwavering support paved the way for my success. This victory is as much hers as it is mine.

Family – The Pillars of Support
No journey is complete without the love and encouragement of family. My biggest supporters, my family, stood by me through thick and thin. Their belief in my dreams and sacrifices for my passion made this victory a collective achievement. Their presence in the audience was a source of strength that fueled my performance.
Invitation to the Asian Grand Prix Final in Hong Kong
Winning the Asian Grand Prix Competition opened the doors to new opportunities. I received an invitation to compete at the 2019 Asian Grand Prix Final in Hong Kong. Additionally, I was granted a scholarship for the Asian Grand Prix Master Ballet Class and earned the Excellent Talent Award from Repetto. These invitations were a testament to my dedication and skill in the world of ballet.
Difficult Choices
The Harid Conservatory, USA: As fate would have it, I faced a difficult decision. Despite the incredible opportunity in Hong Kong, I had to decline the invitation due to a prior commitment – attending the Summer Intensive program at The Harid Conservatory in Florida, USA. It was a bittersweet moment, as I had to choose between two extraordinary opportunities.
Reflecting on the Asian Grand Prix, I am filled with gratitude, not just for the victory but for the journey it represents. Every plié, pirouette, and expression on that stage was a culmination of passion, hard work, and the unwavering support of my teacher and family. Though I couldn’t make it to Hong Kong, the experience has left an indelible mark on my ballet journey, inspiring me to continue reaching new heights in the beautiful world of dance.
