A Dream Come True – My Princess Grace Academy Winter Intensive Experience in Monte Carlo, Monaco
In March 2019, my life took an extraordinary turn when I received the incredible news that I had been accepted to the Princess Grace Academy Winter Intensive in Montecarlo, Monaco. The joy and excitement I felt were beyond words, and this opportunity marked a significant milestone in my journey as a ballerina.
I vividly remember the moment my mom shared the news with me. I was still in Vietnam, competing in the Asia Pacific Arts Festival competition. The acceptance brought an overwhelming sense of courage and confidence, propelling me to give my best performance at the competition. Little did I know, I was about to become the first Indonesian ballerina to receive training from one of the most prestigious ballet schools in the world.
One of the highlights of my time at the Princess Grace Academy was the privilege of learning from the renowned Michel Rahn. His expertise and teaching style resonated with me, and I quickly developed a deep admiration for him. Being under Mr. Rahn’s guidance was a transformative experience, and I owe a great deal of my improvement as a dancer to his invaluable teachings. Thank you, Mr. Michel Rahn, for being such an inspiring and incredible teacher.
During my stay, I had the opportunity to reside in the academy’s dormitory. This was the first-time experience for me, and it added an extra layer of significance to the entire journey. Staying in the dorm not only allowed me to focus entirely on my training but also provided the chance to form connections with fellow students from around the world. The friendships I forged during this period are treasures that I hold close to my heart.
Every moment at the Princess Grace Academy felt like a dream. The atmosphere, the training, the friendships – everything was simply amazing. As the days passed, I found myself wishing that this experience could last forever. The thought of returning to Indonesia was bittersweet, as I had grown accustomed to the magic of Monte Carlo.
The Princess Grace Academy Winter Intensive not only elevated my ballet skills but also enriched my life with unforgettable memories and friendships. I am grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and the chance to represent Indonesia on the international stage. My heart is filled with gratitude, and I will carry the lessons and experiences from Princess Grace Academy with me throughout my ballet journey.
