My Incredible Experience Shooting a Commercial for Park Serpong
Stepping into the entertainment industry has always felt like a distant dream, but it became a vibrant reality with the opportunity to shoot a commercial for Park Serpong with one of the best production houses, Milkyway Studio. Having passed the audition and casting stage a while ago, the day finally came for the shooting process to begin. This was my first experience, and it was nothing short of extraordinary.
The shoot spanned three days, from the crack of dawn until late into the night, sometimes even past midnight. Surprisingly, I never felt tired. The excitement and joy of the entire experience fueled me through the long hours. I was exhilarated, eager for more, and every moment felt magical.
Day 1: Embracing the Heat and the Crowd
The first day of shooting involved a scene where I was drawn into a crowd, making it hard for me to move. The set was outdoors, and the weather was extremely hot, but I didn’t mind at all. Having someone hold an umbrella over me the whole time was a surreal experience. It was fascinating to witness the meticulous process of filming, where an entire day was dedicated to capturing a scene that would last only a few seconds on screen.
Day 2: Dancing Like a Star
The second day took place at a different location, where I got to dance on a transformed stadium dance floor. This was one of my favorite moments. I felt like a star, dancing solo with all eyes on me. The entire crew was incredibly supportive and attentive, making me feel special and confident. The transformation of the stadium into a dance floor was awe-inspiring, and the experience felt surreal.
Day 3: Flying High and Juggling Commitments
The third day was the busiest. It started with a flying scene shot in a green screen room, my first encounter with such a setup, as it was such a gigantic room. It was incredibly cool and exciting to be part of. However, that day also held another significant event – my US Tourist Visa interview at the US embassy. The locations were far apart, but both commitments were crucial.
Thanks to my mom’s coordination, a friend lent me a motorcycle ride to the embassy, navigating through Jakarta’s insane morning traffic. Meanwhile, my parents rushed from the shooting location by car to prepare everything at the embassy. After the interview, where I was thrilled to find my Visa approved, we hurried back to the shooting location. The rooftop scene followed, which, humorously, turned out to be shot in the green screen room instead of a real rooftop as what everybody was expected.
A Journey Filled with Gratitude and Joy
This experience was the highlight of my journey so far. I met incredible people, made close connections, and cherished every moment. The support and kindness from everyone around me were overwhelming. Despite the hectic schedule and the challenges, I felt immensely blessed and grateful. This magical journey was a dream come true, and I will forever treasure it.
Thank you, Milkyway Studio, for this unforgettable experience. And thank you to all the wonderful people who supported me along the way. I know in my heart that I will miss this moment dearly, but I am grateful for every second of it. This was just the beginning, and I am excited for what the future holds. I am beyond grateful to the Lord for allowing me to have this magical experience that I really wished it never ends.
