My debut career as a member of Junior Corps of the Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida in Miami, under the guidance of the esteemed Artistic Director Maestro Vladimir Issaev, was a pivotal chapter in my life’s story. As the lone dancer representing Indonesia, I experienced a whirlwind of emotions – pride, excitement, and a touch of overwhelm – as I set foot on the iconic studio, hoping that this opportunity would mark a splendid beginning for me.
A Proud Beginning
I couldn’t help but feel a surge of pride. Amongst the talented ensemble, I stood being the only dancer from Indonesia. This unique distinction carried a sense of responsibility and honor, reflecting not just my personal journey but also symbolizing the beauty of cultural diversity that dance embraces. My heart swelled with a mix of excitement and nerves, eager to prove that my passion and dedication were worthy of this experience.
