Welcome to My World of Dance and Dreams

Hello, I’m Jade, a passionate 20-year-old artist hailing from the vibrant landscapes of Indonesia. While my heart beats to the rhythm of ballet, I’m also a model and content creator, weaving stories through movement and imagery. Yet, my dreams extend far beyond the spotlight, for I aspire to build a foundation that nurtures the dreams of fellow dancers and artists in my homeland, Indonesia.

My journey has been colored by the experiences of my family and me. I’ve tasted the challenges of accessing quality dance training and striving to make dance a viable career in a country where the industry is still finding its footing. This forms the bedrock of my vision – to create a pathway for Indonesian dancers to access better training and support their artistic endeavors, ultimately enriching the dance landscape in Indonesia.

But to be that bridge, I must first forge my own path to success. Enabling me to build my personal branding to create the foundation. I believe that with unwavering determination, guided by faith, and with your support, nothing is beyond reach. I cannot embark on this journey alone; I need your help and encouragement to turn this vision into reality.

In this 2023-2024 season, I am honored to join Ballet Vero Beach as a Fellow Dancer in Vero Beach, Florida, where a full scholarship from the company will also enable me to pursue an Associate Degree at Indian River State College. This opportunity allows me to study other things besides ballet and to have more options for my future career. I’m beyond blessed and excited to be granted such amazing opportunity.

The previous season saw me served as a Junior Corps Company Member at the Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida in Miami. Additionally, I got Trainee position acceptance from Etoile Ballet Theatre in Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna, Italy along with their Company Tour invitation to Cairo and Alexandria, Egypt. Other Apprentice or company member acceptance this year came from Ballet Modern Compagnie, France and Virginia National Ballet,  Manassas and Trainee position offers from Ballet de Barcelona, Spain, Ballet Co-Laboratory, Minnesota and Avant Chamber Ballet, Dallas, Texas.

In the previous season, I was trained at the Academy 3 of Orlando Ballet School, Florida, for 2 seasons (2019-2020 and 2020-2021). While other 2021-2022 apprentice or company member came from Virginia National Ballet, Manassas, Virginia and Savannah Ballet Theatre, Savannah, Georgia and trainee acceptance from Etoile Ballet Theatre, Piacenza, Emilia Romagna, Italy, Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre, Las Vegas, Nevada, Central Illinois Ballet, Ballet Co-Laboratory, Minnesota and Charlottesville Ballet, Virginia along with scholarship.

My ballet voyage began at the age of 7 at the Marlupi Dance Academy, where I first fell in love with this captivating art form. After completing my high school education at Mawar Saron Christian School, I decided to chase my dream with unwavering determination. To intensify my training and focus, I left Marlupi Dance Academy and joined The Ballet Academy of Indonesia in February 2019 under the tutelage of Ms. Anindya Krisna.

Under Ms. Anindya Krisna’s mentorship, I experienced rapid growth in technique, leading to acceptances in various international ballet schools. My journey included acceptances for year round and intensive programs fromAcademy 3 at Orlando Ballet School, Florida; Oregon Ballet Theater School Pre-professional Program ; at Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Moscow, Russia, Traineeship program, Kirov Academy of Ballet, Washington DC, with scholarship for both Full Professional Program and Summer Intensive, Princess Grace Academy, Monaco Winter and Summer Intensive; Vaganova Ballet Academy, St. Petersburg, Russia Summer Intensive and Harid Conservatory, Florida, Summer Intensive with financial aid. Also helped me to win the 1st place at Asian Grand Prix, Jakarta Regional on March 2019, for Junior B category by presenting Raymonda, Pizzicato variation. Through this competition, I was invited to compete at Asian Grand Prix Final in Hong Kong, received scholarship for AGP Ballet Master Class in Hong Kong and won the Excellent Talent Award from Repetto. Previously, I’ve won a Gold Award at the Asia Pacific Arts Festival in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on January 2019, for group ballet and solo ballet category by presenting the same variation. Won two times of Ballet Legacy scholarship in Montana, USA in 2018 and 2019 through Dance Prix Indonesia competition.

Now, as I step onto the professional stage starting with Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida last season and this season with Ballet Vero Beach, I am met with the opportunity to pursue my ballet career. While I will receive compensation for performances, it is still not sufficient to cover the associated expenses like accommodation, travel, and daily living costs.

This journey is costly, and I do not have the financial means to carry it alone. But I am determined not to relinquish my dreams.
