Super Sonic Group Leader at Passion Camp
From July 8-12, 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in Passion Camp in Daytona Beach, Florida—not just as an attendee, but as one of the group leaders for the Super Sonic (Blue Squad)! Passion Camp is all about the glory of Jesus, bringing together middle and high school students from churches all over the U.S. for four powerful days of worship, teaching, and community—not to mention, unforgettable fun on the shores of Daytona Beach!
Answered Prayers – Becoming a Group Leader
I felt so blessed and lucky to be accepted as a group leader. The excitement leading up to the camp was unreal—I had never experienced anything like this before. I had also never been in such a huge crowd, with over 7,000 students gathered in one place, lifting their voices to worship God together. Seeing that many people worshiping with one heart and one purpose was truly breathtaking.
Unforgettable Moments at Passion Camp
Passion Camp was divided into four squads:
- Super Sonic (Blue Squad) 💙
- Raptors (Green Squad) 💚
- Avalanche (White Squad) 🤍
- Gladiators (Red Squad) ❤️
Leading a group in Super Sonic was a huge honor, and the energy was absolutely contagious. Every day was packed with activities we didn’t want to miss, from high-energy worship sessions, inspiring messages, and small group discussions, to exciting competitions between squads. Each moment felt like an opportunity to grow, connect, and experience Jesus in a new way.
Worship That Moved My Heart
The worship at Passion Camp was unlike anything I had ever seen before. Thousands of voices singing together, hands raised, hearts wide open—it was a glimpse of heaven on earth. I was deeply moved by the messages that challenged us to leverage our lives for what truly matters—the fame and glory of Jesus. It reminded me that we are called to live boldly for Him, beyond just these four days at camp.
A Time I Didn’t Want to End
As the days passed, I found myself wishing Passion Camp would never end. The friendships, the faith-filled atmosphere, the joy of serving as a leader—it was all so powerful. I walked away changed, encouraged, and more on fire for Jesus than ever before.
To anyone thinking about attending Passion Camp in the future—do it. You won’t regret it. God moves in mighty ways, and being part of something this special is truly life-changing.
